In June 2024, our dedicated Sight Relief team in Pakistan provided vital eye care to 1,535 patients in Upper Chitral. The team consisted of four optometrists, two dispensing opticians, and four support staff for patient registration and vision measurement.
The team worked tirelessly in Mulkhow Valley for two days before moving to the village of Booni for an additional two days of screenings. Their enthusiasm and commitment were truly inspiring, leading them to extend their efforts to Kalash Valley, which was not part of the original plan. Demonstrating initiative, they visited patients right at their doorsteps, conducting exams in homes and dispensing glasses and eye drops directly from their vehicle!

Due to the peak summer heat, no screenings were conducted in July.
